Mercieca Ltd has been appointed to handle the consumer PR for Cobra-PUMA Golf.

Mercieca has been briefed to increase Cobra-PUMA Golf’s visibility within golf, lifestyle and sport press, furthering its goal to become golf’s most desirable sports-lifestyle company.

PUMA acquired equipment brand Cobra Golf from Acushnet Company, the golf business of Fortune Brands, in April 2010.

The fusion of the brands aims to outfit golfers of all abilities, attitudes and styles. The acquisition included the endorsement contracts of top players including Ian Poulter and JB Holmes.
