Naked Wines appoints Campbell Brown

Online wine specialist Naked Wines has appointed Campbell Brown to lead its consumer PR strategy. 

Naked has briefed the agency to look after its consumer and lifestyle press, as well as social media for the brand.

Naked Wines allows its members to act as venture capitalists. Each member contributes at least £20 per month to a fund which Naked then invests in wine producers. This approach lets the company offer wines to members at wholesale prices. The business was founded in 2008 by Rowan Gormley, who previously launched Virgin Wines.

Campbell Brown director, Kenny Campbell said: 'Naked is exactly the sort of company we want to work with: it's hugely ambitious, it's growing rapidly and it isn't afraid to break the rules.'
