Global networking company NETGEAR has chosen Reading-based PR agency Berkeley PR (BPR) to raise the profile of the brand and its consumer products, specifically supporting its retail business unit.

BPR won the account following a competitive tender process, where it showcased its long history of experience and successes in both the technology and consumer space. With this know-how, NETGEAR is confident the team at BPR will be able to meet its objective of widespread exposure in the prosumer, lifestyle and national press.

Kicking off the account at the start of 2012, BPR began with a campaign to drum up interest around NETGEAR’s exciting new products that were due to be launched at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas.

Rob Wells, director, UK retail business unit, NETGEAR, explains; “We want PR to elevate of our consumer products to the next level. Berkeley PR demonstrated a strong understanding of the key press in our target sector and had sound credentials in the national and lifestyle titles. We were also impressed with its proactive and results driven approach.”
