The New Statesman is currently without an editor following the departure of John Kampfner last week.

While a new editor is being recruited deputy editor, Sue Matthias will stand in as acting editor.

New Statesman, which was founded in April 1913, is a weekly publication about people and ideas, about politics and arts, and about the way we live now.
