Newton replaces Johnson as NOTW deputy

The Sun’s head of features and entertainment, Victoria Newton, has moved to the News of the World.

Newton has replaced deputy editor, Jane Johnson, who has moved to The Sun.

Johnson, who over the past two years has been Colin Myler’s deputy and was the editorial director of Fabulous magazine, has been appointed the Sun’s Saturday editor and associate editor.

She will be developing a “new weekend package” for the Sun and has joined the paper’s editing rota.
