Nigel Kennedy is re-joining public relations consultancy The Communication Group as chief executive after 17 years of absence.

He originally joined The Communication Group when it was a few months old in 1986 and left seven years later for Grayling where he subsequently became group chief executive. He led the management buyout of Grayling from Havas in 2004 which resulted in Grayling becoming part of Huntsworth plc.

Commenting on his appointment, Nigel Kennedy said: “I am delighted to be back. The consultancy has an exceptional reputation for quality people and outstanding work, and has great potential. The PR market is full of change, with new client demands, issues and techniques. I believe we can take a growing share in a number of key areas of this market. And that is what we shall do.”
