Nuts launches ‘Keep your hands off our Nuts’ campaign

Nuts has launched 'Keep your hands off our Nuts' in response to the 'Lose the lads mags' campaign from equal rights organisations UK Feminsta and Object

Nuts said of the original campaign: "this proposed move is a blatant act of censorship […] seeking to ban something just because it doesn't happen to like it […] I see no reason why they should be banned to appease the views of a minority protest group."

The 'Lose the lads mag' website includes a petition, as well as quotes from workers in stores that sell the magazine supporting the campaign, and also highlights potential legal ramifications of the sale of the magazines, including elements of the Equality Act 2010.

The Co-Op supermarket chain has given a 9 September deadline to the publishers of magazines including Loaded, Nuts and ZOO to introduce 'modesty' covers to print copies of the publications.
