Online Yorkshire newspaper launched
The Yorkshire Standard has been launched as an online newspaper covering the latest community news, business and local arts scene across West Yorkshire.
The paper will serve the areas of Kirklees, Bradford, Calderdale, Wakefield and Leeds, and is claimed to have recorded over 2,500 unique users in its first days of operation.
Hasan Faridi, creator of the publication, has said they will rely initially on volunteer contributors but it is hoped eventually the site could hire staff.
The Yorkshire Standard will be added to the FeaturesExec Media Database shortly.
