Managing director of Play Radio for Southampton and Winchester, David Harber, has resigned.

Harber left after a number of attempted management buyouts at the station. He said: “Having failed in my attempt to take control of the company, I feel it is now time to concentrate on my other enterprises. Naturally, I wish the excellent team in Southampton every success for the future.”

Play Radio operates two services for the Hampshire area. 107.8 broadcasts to the city of Southampton, and 107.2 broadcasts to Winchester.
