PR consultant, Lesley Singleton of LS Media , has reached the national finals of the Mumpreneur Awards, a conference and awards aimed at celebrating women throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling their own business with family life.
Singleton has been short listed for the Best Business support award and is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2010.
Having worked in PR for over a decade, Singleton launched LS Media, a B2C PR consultancy, four years ago after the birth of her first child.
Lesley comments: “After cutting my PR teeth with agencies such as LDA Communications and Consolidated PR, working on campaigns for Blockbuster, KLM and Ocean Village, and further honing my skills in-house at Monarch Airlines, I decided it was time to go it alone. Running my own consultancy gives me the ultimate freedom to work with organisations I can get really passionate about whilst also having the flexibility to work around my two young children.”
The winners of The Mumpreneur Awards will be announced at The Mumpreneur Conference on 18 September 2010, at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire. The event is open to all mums who run their own business, or are looking at starting up.
