The Priory Group has appointed Sarah Womack as senior external relations manager.

She began her career on the Birmingham Post before spending 12 years as a political correspondent, holding this role for the Press Association, the Daily Express, and the Daily Telegraph.

She later became deputy foreign editor of the Daily Mail, overseeing its foreign news coverage, before switching to corporate communications as senior external relations manager for Royal Mail.

She has also worked at MailOnline, and as a PR consultant at Post Office.
