Reveal editor Michael Butcher will step down from his post due to family illness.

Butcher said of his decision: “I’m taking great comfort from the fact that I’m leaving a magazine that is in such fantastic shape.”

He will continue working at the weekly women’s magazine until a replacement is appointed.
