Rotherham Advertiser editor, Doug Melloy, is to retire in June 2012.

Melloy has been editor of weekly titles the Rotherham Advertiser, Rotherham Record and Dearne Valley Weekender for 27 years.

He previously worked on the Derbyshire Times and Blairgowrie Advertiser.
