Senior appointments at the FT
Caroline Daniel, comment editor, is expanding her responsibilities to become comment and analysis editor and assistant editor.
Her role as assistant editor reflects an increased level of managerial responsibility as she takes control of all comment and analysis pages across print and web.
Daniel takes over from Brian Groom, who becomes the FT’s UK businesses and employment editor and associate editor.
Groom, after four years as comment & analysis editor, will oversee a nationwide team of reporters in his new role. He also continues to write his weekly notebook column.
A third appointment sees Martin Sandbu move from New York to join the FT as economics leader writer. Sandbu has recently worked as an academic with the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research.
All three appointments are with immediate effect.
