Sound Women launches nationwide events to boost industry skills
Sound Women, the networking and development group for women in the radio and audio industry, has launched a series of events being held across the country.
Showing women how to break into the world of radio music presenting and production is the aim of the event being held at the Roundhouse on Thursday 26 June. The second in a series of evenings entitled ‘Mapping the Industry’, this event looks at ‘Ways into Music Production’, with a panel discussion including BBC music broadcaster Liz Kershaw, International DJ and broadcaster Sam Hall (aka Goldierocks), and Reju Sharma, who set up her own production company. BBC Radio 5 Live journalist and presenter Clare McDonnell will chair the evening.
On Tuesday 10 July, Sound Women will be running an introductory workshop for those interested in the world of voiceover work. British voiceover artist Laura Shavin will be hosting the event.
Tickets for 'Mapping the Industry 2: Ways into Music Production' can be booked here.
