STV Local, a network of hyper-local websites for Scotland, has appointed Shaun Milne as editor.

Previously regional editor of STV Local’s Edinburgh website, Milne now oversees the editorial content of all STV Local community sites. Milne joined STV Local from Deadline News, where he was consulting managing editor. Before this, he was associate news editor at Daily Record and assistant editor at Scottish Daily Mirror.

STV Local has 22 hyper-local websites across six local authority areas in Scotland – North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Moray and Edinburgh. It continues to roll out the network of sites across the country.
