David Summers has been hired by the Northampton Chronicle & Echo as editor.

Summers was editor of the Bucks Herald and replaces Mark Edwards who now edits the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. He begins at the Chronicle & Echo on Monday 5 November.

Graham Tebutt has been acting editor and will return to the role of deputy editor.

Bucks Herald deputy editor, Peter Davidson, and assistant editor, Tim Green, are acting editors until Summers successor is hired.
