SumUp appoints Diffusion

SumUp, a company which helps merchants turn their mobiles into card terminals to accept credit and debit card payments, has appointed Diffusion to launch the service in the UK and Ireland.

Diffusion will manage SumUp’s traditional and social media strategy as part of an integrated campaign, with the aim of raising awareness of SumUp in an exciting and competitive space. The campaign has been developed to primarily target businesses so more merchants start using SumUp, but it will also highlight the benefits of the point-of-sale technology to investors and consumers.

SumUp allows merchants use a free app and a free card reader to turn their mobile devices into tills capable of processing payments in a fast and secure manner, taking a 2.75% cut of every transaction made.
