Sunday Times dominates Online Media Awards
This year’s winners for the Online Media Awards were announced at a ceremony held in London on 23 June.
The Sunday Times dominated the event as they took home six prizes including the Grand Prix award, best video journalism, best designed site, best campaigning/investigative journalism, and best use of photography, whilst its editor Gordon Thomson was named online editor of the year.
Other winners included The Guardian and BBC, who were joint winners of the best site for news-led journalism award.
The Online Media Awards seeks to recognise and celebrate the best in online journalism. It identifies the “best and boldest of online news-based creativity” as well as the “most original” via its esteemed judging panel, receiving entries from all over the world.
