The Kingdom, a weekly newspaper based in Killarney in County Cork, has closed.

The decision was made by parent company Thomas Crosbie Holdings Ltd, publishers of the Irish Examiner, Sunday Business Post and several other regional titles, including the Roscommon Herald.

The final edition was published last week. The newspaper was circulated throughout all of Kerry, North Cork and West Limerick.
