Triangle Cares for Belong

Manchester’s Triangle PR has been appointed by care provider, Belong, to handle public relations for its growing portfolio of community villages.

Providing care and a range of services within a village setting, Belong takes a person-centred approach to providing support for its residents and customers.

The organisation provides specialist dementia support within family sized households in its villages, as well as offering modern apartments where customers can lead independent lives. Belong also provides extensive services to members of the local community, both through the ‘Belong at Home’ domiciliary care service and by opening up to the public the villages’ extensive facilities, such as bistros, hair salons and venue rooms.

It is Belong’s multifaceted approach that Triangle has been engaged to communicate. As Belong operations director, Tracy Paine, explains: “Triangle have demonstrated a good understanding of the issues involved in the care sector, and how the Belong model differs from traditional care home providers. Having seen the positive press coverage they are able to secure in our key target media, we had absolutely no hesitation in appointing them to handle our PR activity.”

Triangle MD, Chris Hamer, comments: “We’re delighted to be working with Belong and helping to communicate the vital role the villages play in improving the lives of older people. At a time when some operators in the care sector have attracted adverse publicity, it’s refreshing and rewarding to be involved with an organisiation, like Belong, which truly focuses on what’s best for an individual at the time in their life they most need it.”
