Methven, the global designer and manufacturer of premium showers and tapware, has appointed Umpf and The Right Agency to handle its consumer and trade PR following a competitive pitch.

Methven, which has offices in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, the UAE and the Far East, designs and manufactures water and energy efficient products. The UK company operates under a two tier brand strategy, the Methven brand, which was launched in the UK in April 2011, and shower and tap brand Deva.

Business-to-business specialists, The Right Agency will look after all of the trade PR for both the Methven and Deva brands, whilst Umpf will focus on raising awareness of the brand through consumer PR.

To support Methven’s growth strategy, the PR will focus on boosting trade media coverage to build relationships with architects, designers and installers and building the company’s corporate reputation and brand presence amongst national and consumer media.
