Wales weekly editor moves to Midlands paper

Editor of the Western Telegraph, Fiona Phillips, has been named editor of sister paper the Hereford Times.

Phillips replaces previous editor Liz Griffin, who left the Hereford Times in September of last year. Deputy editor David Edwards had been acting editor until a permanent editor was appointed.

Phillips first joined the Western Telegraph in 1980. The newspaper is part of Newsquest’s Wales & Gloucestershire division and the Hereford Times is part of its Midlands South sector.
