The Bootle Times, Merseymart (South) and Star (Anfield & West Derby plus Maghull) have ceased being published as newspapers.

The titles are to be merged into two community newspapers – The Star and The Merseymart – and placed as a supplement within Tuesdays’ editions of the Liverpool Echo.

The change was announced at the same time the Liverpool Daily Post announced it would be changing to a weekly publication.
