Iggy Pop to return to BBC Radio 6
BBC Radio 6 will see a number of changes to its schedule from Friday 10 April as Iggy Pop returns to the station as a permanent presenter.
The 'Godfather of punk' will host a weekly show, airing 7-9pm. Tom Ravencroft's show will move to a 9pm-midnight slot. 6 Mix – the weekly show featuring a range of resident and guest DJs delivering a two-hour set – will no longer be broadcasting.
Iggy Pop says his show will mix "quite a bit of music that's new and stimulating mixed with very old classics from the blues and jazz masters of the 1920s through Fifties that are a little more moody." He has previously presented radio shows on BBC Radio 6 in December 2013 and March 2014.
