ITV News appoints health editor

ITV News has appointed Catherine Jones as health editor.

Jones is currently health correspondent at 5 News and will replace Lawrence McGinty, who is retiring as science and medical editor at ITV News.

Joining in May, Jones will lead all health coverage and provide analysis of the latest stories on health, medicine and the NHS. She will also report for Tonight and On Assignment.
