Retirement at Worcester News

Worcester News sports editor Paul Ricketts retired on 9 October after 48 years at the newspaper.

He started out as a junior reporter at the age of 18, and has held many roles in the newsroom during his time there. Ricketts became sports editor at the News at the age of 27 and, apart from a few years as news editor, has held the position ever since.

Deputy sports editor James Reece will take over the role of sports editor, covering Worcester News and its sister titles.
