Absolute Radio launches in the West Midlands

Absolute Radio will launch on 105.2FM in the West Midlands on Monday 7 September 2015.

It will take over the frequency from Planet Rock in advance of the RAJAR Q4 2015 survey on 21 September. Planet Rock will continue to broadcast on digital radio in the region and will also be available on digital television, online, and via its mobile app.

Frank Skinner, who is from West Bromwich, will broadcast to his fans in his home region. Ian Wright’s Rock N Roll Football also returns, delivering live coverage of the Barclays Premier League. Fans can expect coverage of West Brom and Aston Villa games via the FM frequency.
