BBC appoints editor for Today Programme
BBC Radio 4's The Today Programme has appointed Newsnight's acting deputy editor Jamie Angus as editor.
Angus is a former editor of Radio 4's World at One and will replace Ceri Thomas, who was appointed as BBC head of news programmes in March.
Angus will take up the role in September. He said: "It's an enormous privilege to be asked to do this job – I worked on the programme for my first eight years in the BBC, and have been listening to it for as long as I can remember being a radio listener."
Angus can be found tweeting @grvlx001.
