Changes to the Telegraph rugby team

Telegraph Media Group has appointed Gavin Mairs as chief rugby union correspondent.

Gavin was previously rugby news correspondent and replaces Mick Cleary. He has chosen to take a step back from the role and will now become chief rugby union writer, still contributing regularly to the Telegraph.

Daniel Schofield has also been promoted to deputy rugby union correspondent. The team can be found tweeting @TelegraphRugby.
