FT Weekend welcomes Jeremy Paxman

The Financial Times has appointed Jeremy Paxman as a contributing editor for the FT Weekend magazine. He will be focusing on long-form writing, diaries and 'Lunch' with the FT interviews. He made his debut this past weekend with "an account of the mysterious death of Lord Kitchener, the war hero and British military commander in World War I".

Paxman was the anchor of BBC Two's Newsnight programme for 25 years until his departure in June 2014.
