The inews UK app launched on Monday 21 October with Harry Robertson as app editor. Harry previously worked as the editorial lead on Compass News, a start-up app that curated news in a bitesized way. The inews UK app promises insight on current affairs, with news reporting, sport, opinion and features hand-picked by specialist editors. The app will publish editions at midnight, midday and 5pm and is aimed at readers who want to cut through the noise of online news and social media feeds. Coverage of breaking news exists on a separate tab.

Sophie Murray-Morris also joined inews on 3 September as engagement editor. She will focus on improving and expanding i’s newsletter offering as well as strategies to grow i’s audience online. She joins from The Sun where she was senior audience development manager.
