Tortoise Media is set to launch next year

Tortoise Media, a project which promises “open journalism” and a “different kind of newsroom” will launch in January 2019. Digital editions, running on a dedicated app and website will go live first followed by a public launch planned for next spring.

Former BBC News Director James Harding is the venture’s Co-Founder & Editor alongside Co-Founder & Publisher Katie Vanneck-Smith and Co-Founder & Chairman Matthew Barzun. A number of high-profile journalists are also confirmed to be joining Tortoises’ news team.
