Evening Standard to welcome Ayesha Hazarika as editor of The Londoner

The Evening Standard has confirmed Ayesha Hazarika as the incoming editor for its diary section The Londoner.

Ayesha will start in the role at the end of this month, taking over from current editor Charlotte Edwardes who will focus full-time on interviews and columns.

Currently a columnist for the Evening Standard, Ayesha’s career has included work as a special adviser to Gordon Brown, Harriet Harman, and Ed Miliband, and time as a stand-up comedian. She can be found tweeting @ayeshahazarika.
