Financial Times moving Megan Murphy to Washington
The Financial Times has appointed Megan Murphy as Washington bureau chief where she will lead the FT's coverage of US politics.
Murphy, who joined the Financial Times in 2007, has been law courts correspondent, investment banking correspondent, chief media correspondent, and is currently head of digital market news service fastFT.
Relocating from London to Washington DC, Murphy will assume the role on 1 January 2015, succeeding Richard McGregor, who the FT says will work on longer-term projects.
Murphy can be found tweeting @meganmurp.
