Financial Times has made a series of appointments in its US newsroom.

Political Commentator and FT Weekend Columnist Janan Ganesh will move to Washington to take up the role of Chief US Political Commentator, starting 1 June. He can be found tweeting @JananGanesh. Current Chief Commentator Edward Luce will take the position of US National Editor and Columnist on 4 June, and tweets @EdwardGLuce.

London-based Community Editor Lilah Raptopoulos will move to the New York office on 16 April, and can be followed on Twitter @lilahrap. A London replacement will not be appointed.

Peter Wells joins the US fastFT team, moving from his Tokyo Correspondent role. He can be found tweeting @_PeterWells.
