Freelance work and book deal for New Scientist biomedical news editor

New Scientist's Helen Thomson is leaving the weekly scientific magazine as biomedical news reporter on 19 December to go freelance.

Thomson is to work as a freelance journalist for a variety of media outlets and is interested in receiving press releases and research news. She will also be working on a book deal, and can be found tweeting @hvthomson and can be emailed at hvthomson@gmail.com. 

Careers editor Jessica Hamzelou is now biomedical news reporter. She can be found tweeting @jesshamzelou.
