Ian Katz takes on Director of Programmes role at Channel 4

Channel 4 has revealed Ian Katz as Director of Programmes. He will focus on commissioning programmes for Channel 4 and managing its schedule.

Ian joins in January 2018 from his role as Editor at BBC Newsnight, and has also previously served as Deputy Editor and Head of News at The Guardian.

A replacement Editor at Newsnight is yet to be confirmed.
