Maxine Mawhinney moving on from BBC News for freelance broadcasting

BBC News Presenter Maxine Mawhinney is leaving the corporation after almost 21 years of service, completing her last broadcast for the channel at 5.00pm today.

Maxine is moving on to work as a freelance journalist and broadcaster, focusing on lifestyle and information programming, as well as hosting, moderating, and speaking. She will be contactable via Sylvia Tidy-Harris of STH Management (sylvia@sthmanagement.co.uk).
