The Times and Sunday Times are a changin’

The Times will stop publishing rolling news on their digital platforms – focusing instead on putting out four news feeds per day to reflect peak times in their readership. The move coincides with the launch of their new mobile apps that will follow an edition-based publishing model for the first time.

An edition will be published each day on all platforms early every morning with updates at 9am, noon, and 5pm on digital editions. On weekends the edition updates will be at noon and 6pm.

Major breaking stories will still be covered on an ongoing basis at the editor’s discretion. The website and Android app are live now, with the iOS app following within 24 hours.
