Appointment at launches for TimeOut

TimeOut has appointed Chris Parkin as community editor for the soon to be launched TimeOut Leeds, TimeOut Bristol, and TimeOut Birmingham. He will be focusing on gathering a network of bloggers and PRs in each of these cities.

TimeOut Leeds is already live, and its Bristol and Birmingham counterparts will launch in February this year.

Parkin previously served as a freelance journalist for TimeOut, The Guardian, Cedar Communications, and Ink Publishing, and has served as international editor for RedBull.com/Music for the last two years. He continues to write on a freelance basis and can be found tweeting @c_parkin.
