Channel 4 appoints deputy head of news and current affairs
Channel 4 has appointed Daniel Pearl as deputy head of news and current affairs.
Pearl will have responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of Channel 4 News. He has been the editor of the channel's current affairs strand Dispatches since 2012 and will continue in that role.
Prior to joining Channel 4, he was deputy editor at Panorama and has edited the BBC Ten O'Clock News and BBC Newsnight.
