David Jacobs steps down from BBC Radio 2
BBC Radio 2 presenter David Jacobs has quit his Sunday evening programme The David Jacobs Collection, citing health issues.
Jacobs has presented the programme since 1998 and will broadcast his final show on Sunday 4 August.
Jacobs was one of the original presenters at Top of the Pops when it began in 1964. He also hosted the musical panel show Juke Box Jury and was the BBC's Eurovision Song Contest commentator until 1966.
Details of the replacement programme, which will be broadcast from Sunday 11 August, will be released by the BBC shortly.
