Editor leaves Essex Chronicle
Alan Geere is to leave Northcliffe to run a journalism degree in Uganda.
Geere is the latest editor from the company to leave in the past year, which includes Leicester Mercury's Keith Perch, Nottingham Post's Malcolm Pheby and Lincolnshire Echo's Jon Grubb.
Geere has been editor at the paper and regional editorial director for the past three years. Northcliffe will not replace the latter role and will shortly begin to search for Essex Chronicle's new editor.
