Jeremy Clifford starts at Yorkshire dailies
The Star in Sheffield and Sheffield Telegraph editor Jeremy Clifford has left his job to take on the editorships of fellow Johnston Press titles the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post.
Clifford started in the role on Monday and succeeds Peter Charlton. The appointment was announced in June this year; his replacement at The Star has yet to be announced.
Clifford was previously editor of the Northants Telegraph and during his career has also worked at the Leicester Mercury, South Wales Echo, Derby Telegraph and Hull Daily Mail.
He is also chairman of the editorial board of directors at Johnston Press, which aims to provide editorial leadership and develop best practice across the group.
