International Business Times UK appoints George Pitcher as editor

International Business Times (UK edition) has appointed George Pitcher as editor-in-chief, effective 1 August.

Pitcher will oversee the overall strategic and operational editorial responsibility for the UK title as well as its editorial relations with IBTimes' other global hubs.

He has previously held editorial roles at several UK national titles including The Observer and the Daily Telegraph and is currently contributing editor at Newsweek Europe.
