Esme Wren to join Channel 4 News as editor

Channel 4 News has appointed Esme Wren as editor. Esme is currently editor at BBC Newsnight where she has worked for three years. Prior to this, she served as head of politics, business and specialist journalism at Sky News. Esme will succeed Channel 4 News editor Ben de Pear who confirmed in August he would be leaving after close to ten years in the role.
