James Cook to join BBC Scotland’s Scottish Nine

BBC News North America Correspondent James Cook will move to BBC Scotland as Chief News Correspondent for nightly news programme Scottish Nine.

The Scottish Nine will launch from Glasgow in February 2019 on a new BBC Scotland channel, and will bring national and international news to audiences across Scotland.

James’ appointment follows the recent confirmation that ITN News Correspondent Martin Geissler and BBC Scotland Senior Broadcast Journalist Rebecca Curran will anchor the news programme.
