Simon Mayo to leave BBC Radio 2

BBC Radio 2 has confirmed that Presenter Simon Mayo is to leave his weekday drive-time programme at the end of the year to concentrate on other projects.

He will continue to co-host Kermode and Mayo’s Film Review with Mark Kermode on BBC Radio 5 Live. A drive-time radio programme presented by Jo Whiley will launch in January.
