Yours magazine appoints Sharon Reid as editor

Yours magazine has appointed Sharon Reid as editor, replacing Valery McConnell who has been in the position for ten years.

Currently deputy editor of Yours, Reid is the longest serving member of the magazine team. She will take up the position on 1 January 2014 reporting to Liz Martin, publisher of Bauer Media’s Women’s Specialist titles.

Valery McConnell will take on a consultancy role as editor-at-large of Yours. She will work from home for two days a week and will still take responsibility for the nostalgia content in the magazine and 'Meeting Place', the heart of the publication, where readers can send in anything from letters and reminiscences to photos and poetry.
